History will be made this weekend with many avant-garde shows in the local entertainment scene being hosted. tjil put together a list of events you should definitely not miss out on.
Gazza Milli Concert
Probably the biggest show on the events calendar this weekend, Gazza will be celebrating hitting a million views with his hit-song Chelete at Sam Nujoma Stadium on Saturday. At the media launch of the event recently, Gazza mentioned that this show is for the people who made it possible for him to reach this milestone. He has been announcing the artists billed to perform at the show through his social media, and so far the line-up is a very impressive one. The performing artists revealed so far include Sunny Boy, B-Red, Kp Illest, Nga-I, KFC DJs, eMTee, M.I.G, Lioness and more. Made In Namibia Concert
In an interview with tjil, Sunny Boy the organiser of this concert said that this is definitely not to be missed, because of its promising line-up. The Made In Namibia Concert will take place tonight at The Spot in Windhoek. The artists performing at this concert include Sunny Boy, King Tee Dee, Top Cheri, Matongo Family, Oteya, King Elegant, Zyx, Maestro 1 Time, Shayria, Buti Voitton and Slow P. “All these artists are energetic artists who have dancers and make quality music that people love and sing along too. This is definitely an experience you do not want to miss.
“Come and enjoy with your favourite artists, from the classics to the latest music that we have to offer. This is also our way of showing you that we are united as an industry,” said Sunny Boy.
Heal Our Land Concert
One time for the gospel community! Hosted by the Heal Our Land Foundation, this concert is scheduled for tomorrow at Zoo Park. This event will feature South African gospel stars Dumi Mkostad and Zaza Mokhethi. On the local front the line-up features Manda Gabriel, Abner Mumbala, Sovita Joshua, Pride, Vuuyo Johnson, Jux Adolf, D-Naff, Esmee and Dee A & Franklin.
Night Under the Stars
Musician ML is having her Night Under the Stars concert tonight at the Goethe Insitute Namibia. The singer will perform with her band and promises an awesome musical experience. The show starts at 19:00 and N$20 lets you be part of this experience.
The Sold Out Show and Festival
Himba Boi has partnered with the municipality of Otjiwarongo to host The Sold Out Show and Festival tomorrow at Mokati Stadium in Otjiwarongo. “The aim of this event is to promote culture through food and music. I invite the residents of Otjiwarongo to come and have fun with us,” said Himba Boi.
Grown & Sexy
Jessica Jacobs will tomorrow host South African Afro-soul/R&B singer Vusani Preston Sihlangu also known as Presss. Presss is set to have a one-night show at the Warehouse Theatre.
