The Namibia Football Association (NFA) announced on Friday that Young Gladiators coach Mamie Kasaona has called up 23 players for a training camp.
The players will be preparing for a 2020 Fifa Women Under-20 World Cup qualifier match against Botswana on 18 January.
The first leg of the tie will be played in Windhoek before the Namibians travel to Botswana for the second leg of the crucial qualifier.
In a statement released on Friday, the football association, through their media officer, said the date for the second leg is yet to be confirmed. Namibia have never played at the football showpiece and are eager to make history by qualifying for the tournament for the first time in their history.
The World Cup, which has been contested by under-20 national teams since 2002, will be hosted by Panama and Costa Rica in August.
Kasaona will be assisted by Heinrich Isaacks, with Heribert Kapeng as the goalkeeper coach.
