With outside being somewhat open, the social calendar is once again adorned with avant-garde events on the local entertainment scene this weekend. tjil put together a list of events you should stream or check out.
My Dream Wedding Namibia premiere
Olive Entertainment Agency will tonight host a red-carpet premiere event for the pilot episode of ‘My Dream Wedding Namibia’ at Grove Mall’s Ster-Kinekor. Executive produced by Julia ‘Boss Lady’ Kadhikwa and shot by African Nexus Digital Media, ‘My Dream Wedding Namibia’ is the country’s first ever wedding reality show. South Africa’s Sthembiso Khoza is set to make a special appearance.
Disco Divas
Café Prestige will host its Disco Divas event tonight in collaboration with Drag Night Namibia. The fun starts at 18:00, and limited presale tickets are available exclusively at the venue.
Voice of Namibia show
Tonight at 18:00, the Voice of Namibia show will take place at XS Lounge and Restaurant featuring performances by various artists. Limited tickets cost N$100 and are available at the door or via WhatsApp at 081 333 5647.
MTC 081Every1 Hope Concert
Tomorrow, 4 September, telecommunications giant MTC will host its 081Every1 Hope Concert at Safari Hotel in Windhoek. Tickets are N$2 000 on Webtickets, but the show will also be streamed live for free on MTC Namibia’s Facebook and YouTube platforms. The event is scheduled to kick off at 11:00, and will feature gospel music by Vuuyo, Pride, Franklin and Dee’A, Rodney Seibeb, Maranatha, Joharetha, Elizabeth, Manda Gabriel, Effy-Otjimbundu, Ayanda Ntanzi, Benjamin Dube, Buci Radebe and Nam Gospel United.
