Spoil your significant other the Namibian way
Valentine's Day is just around the corner, which means love is in the air. For those in relationships pondering what to get their partner, worry not. Tjil will put you on.
Looking for that perfect gift for your special someone? Whether your partner is sophisticated or an adventurous outdoor enthusiast, Namibia has a variety of options to make your bae feel cherished.
With some of the sweetest Valentine's Day gifts by Gweri Vintage, Karibu Flowers, 22 Millennials, G Graphics and more, don't forget that experiences are also a love language. If your partner values time with you over material things, consider camel riding, a spa day or bowling.
In an interview with tjil, one of the founders of 22 Millennials, who preferred to remain anonymous, described the company as a start-up that focuses on personalised and bold essentials such as jewellery and key chains.
She also mentioned that 22 Millennials will be venturing into other projects in future.
What makes an item from them a perfect Valentine's Day gift is that it is thoughtful and personal, she said.
“However you feel about your significant other, you can express it in the design, length, shape and colour you choose.
“Gifting a loved one an item from us is a constant reminder of your love for them as every piece tells a story,” she said.
22 Millennials strives to satisfy their clients' desires by bringing all their ideas to life. “We focus on our customer's satisfaction. When our customers are happy, we are happy.

Johannes Simon of G-Graphics, who uses Adobe Illustrator, Procreate and Inkscape to sketch photos, said he has been drawing all his life, but only started to do so digitally in 2019. Simon has created illustrations of Namibian musicians and media personalities to viral success. “Sending me a photo of your partner to sketch will be a nice gift because art is life.
“Almost everything in life revolves around art. Art is beautiful and what better way for lovers to express their love that in the form of a portrait? It is affordable and simple, and remember: It's the simple things that matter, not luxury,” he said.
Simon mentioned that of the celebrity sketches he has done, those of Dillish Mathews, Top Cheri and M.I.G got the most traction. “Dillish was excited and loved my work. She even shared my work on her social media platforms,” he said.
