Brave Warriors and Highlands Park goal machine Peter Shalulile says he wants to see his family and will only think about his future next season after spending time with his relatives.

The player, who scored 16 goals for his club Highlands Park last season, drove from South Africa on Monday.

Shalulile has been linked with a move to current South African champions Mamelodi Sundowns, but has refused to shed more light on the transfer rumours.

Family comes first

“All I want to do now is to be with my family because it has not been easy that I have not seen them in a while now.

“It has been difficult to meet them because of the coronavirus pandemic and the fact that we could not travel or meet people due to fears that we might contract the virus while the season is on.

“It is always a good thing to be back home and just take your mind away from the regular football activities,” Shalulile said.

Looking forward to next season

The player remains reluctant to speak about his future but says he would love to continue improving next season.

There is a high probability that Shalulile will wear a different jersey during the 2020/21 South African campaign given that Sundowns have expressed keen interest in the star.

“There is no doubt that I am looking forward to next season because I will still put God first and remain committed to the game.

“I always set my targets at the start of every season and I know that nothing is impossible if I put God first and also focus on what I want to achieve as a player,” Shalulile said.
