Sensational swimming at the coast

Flippers Swimming Club hosted another splashing gala at The Dome in Swakopmund on Saturday.
A total of 67 swimmers between the ages three and 55 competed at the annual event, with the purpose of raising funds for the development of the sport.
The inter-house gala was also aimed at showing parents what their children have learned throughout the year and to scout for talent to participate in bigger competitions for the Namibia Swimming Union (NASU).
Team Kings were like fish in the water against Emperors and Royals in the parents medley relay and reigned supreme.
Amy-Grace Jearey (three) was the youngest girl and Malan Verster (three) the youngest boy competitors.
In the female section, Sandra Cloete was named senior victrix ludorum and Cara Mayer junior victrix ludorum.
In the male section, Amaani Ashikoto was the senior victor ludorum and Janna Kathena the junior victor ludorum.
