Namibia’s senior national rugby team lost 20-47 to Russia on Saturday afternoon in a match played in Krasnodar.
The Russia game was the opener of an end-of-year European tour.
It was the Russians who looked more dangerous from the start of the match, as they forced the Namibian side backwards most occasions.
Namibia had a nervous start and never looked like threatening the well-organised Russian defence.
The Russian backs all scored for tries in a match they dominated from the outset.
The Russians led 19-6 at halftime and looked comfortable, as little pressure was applied by their opponents.
Russian flyhalf Yury Kushnarev converted six of the seven tries for a personal tally of 12 points.
TC Kisting and Darryl de la Harpe converted two Namibian tries, with PW Steenkamp converting another other two.
Clive Loubser landed two penalties in the match.
