Rewarding deserving Namibians

Robert Mugabe Avenue turned into glitz and glamour as the Simply You Magazine Lifestyle and Fashion Awards (SYMLAFA) were held at the national Theatre of Namibia. The awards show are the brainchild of Simply You Magazine Executive Helena Ngaifiwa which was founded to celebrate Namibia personalities from different industries… SA personality Maps Maponanye made a special appearance including Namibian personalities like Dalton Ashikoto and Dr Helena Ndume graced the event.

The night kicked off with a fashion show and female powerhouses Oteya and Sally kept the crowd on their feet with their performances. Some of the winners included Leah Misika who walked away with Favourite Blogger, while Sam Kapepo - who is known for being an activist in his community - was given the SYM Diamond award which is given to someone who does extraordinary things in their community and is also influential at the same time. These awards were created to celebrate Namibians by Namibians.

Best Emerging Designer - Ndapcee

Best Male Model - Jeremia Jeremia
