Real retail therapy
Windhoek's new high-end fashion destination.
Officially opened last week Friday, Motiv8 has already positioned itself as the eminent sneaker destination in Windhoek.
The store is situated at Wernhil Park, number B2, at the Post Streel Mall entrance.
It also helps that they have already aligned themselves with musician and fashion enthusiast Gazza, who was present at the official opening of the store. Motiv8 is an international retail brand boosting the most iconic and exclusive brands like Adidas Originals, Puma, Under Armour, G-Star Raw, Replay, LE COQ SPORTIF, Kappa, Converse and Vans.
In an interview with tjil, Motiv8's marketing manager Gaone Dixon mentioned that Motiv8 speaks directly to one's inner being and the essence of who they are. “Motiv8 is style that works hard as you do. It is rooted in individuality and growth. The identity is derived from values of working hard to achieve your goals, having belief in yourself and expressing yourself through fashion,” said Dixon, adding that you dress what you like for yourself not for others.
Founded in Botswana under the JB Group of Companies, Motiv8 currently has three stores in that country. “JB is a 25-year-old retail group operating 41 varied branches in Botswana and six in Namibia.”
Julian Mathew, the managing director of JB Group, added that their vision is to grow their retail footprint in Namibia by expanding into more places including coastal towns. “By the end of 2020, we plan to double our presence in Namibia for both Motiv8 and JB.
“We are happy with the Motiv8 brand reception by the Namibian market. We believe the brand will do well and will also contribute to the Namibian economy,” said Mathew.
Apart from the gear, the store's innovative setup is pretty inviting. It has a chill area where you are encouraged to interact while shopping. Equipped with a blue couch and a playlist that is dominated by Namibian music – you will have a great experience while shopping. *Advertorial
