Pokello, Elikem now engaged

After dating for almost a year, former Big Brother Africa (BBA) housemates Pokello Nare and Elikem Kumordzie have taken their relationship to a more serious stage after he publicly proposed to her over the weekend. Social networks were awash with congratulatory messages for the couple who become the fourth BBA couple to engage. According to reports from Ghana, Pokello said yes to Elikem at the 2014 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards held in Ghana on Saturday evening. The two were on stage to present the award for best collaboration of the year when Elikem suddenly went down on his knees to pop the “will you marry me” question. The two initially fell in love when they were in the BBA house and took their relationship outside the house. They have both met each other’s parents and have been spending most of their time together, either in Zimbabwe or Ghana. Pokello who was elegantly dressed in an evening gown also seemed to have a bump, showing she just may be pregnant. Their engagement comes at a time when people were increasingly beginning to doubt their relationship, after a rumour surfaced that Elikem had impregnated a designer from Ghana. Pokello silenced the rumour mongers saying Elikem would choose who he wanted to spend the rest of his life with, and he clearly settled for her. The two lovebirds also deserve a collaboration award as their partnership in business is paying off. While Elikem is a tailor, Pokello plays the role of a manager and model as she showcases Elikem’s fashion line at fashion shows. Besides that, she is the one responsible for marketing his clothes in Zimbabwe while he does the same for her Addicted to Shoes brand in West Africa. Pokello who dumped rapper Stunner after their adult tape went viral seems to have found a better man in Elikem as she never turned back after she decided to date the tailor. Though she behaved like she did not like Elikem much when she was in the BBA House, it is clear Pokello was blown away by the Ghanaian.
