Network TV debuts on DStv, GOtv
MultiChoice Namibia is excited to announce the launch of local channel Network TV, which premiered on DStv and GOtv on Tuesday, 8 February.

Aimed at empowering, educating, informing and entertaining, Namibia Media Holdings’ (NMH) Network TV (NTV) will offer the hottest shows, current affairs debates, developments in Namibian sports, youth entertainment as well as travel shows exclusively for Namibians by Namibians.
“As Africa’s leading entertainment platform and most loved storyteller, we continuously seek opportunities to provide local and inspired content to Namibian audiences,” MultiChoice Namibia managing director Roger Gertze said.
“Our goal with this channel is to provide a hyperlocal content offering to Namibians who have been yearning for an opportunity like this. NTV will certainly enhance the customer’s viewing experience even more, and at great value.”
Humble beginnings
“From its humble beginnings over 45 years ago and with only Republikein in its stable, today NMH is proud to be part of the media evolution in the country. The company has a staff complement of 231 and is represented in 80% of the country, ensuring that our communities are empowered through the sharing of knowledge and information,” NMH chief executive officer Albe Botha said.
“While our print operations will continue for years to come, NTV will be added to the list of news mediums the media house offers to bring quality content into the living rooms of many Namibians.
“We are excited to be given this opportunity of sharing Namibian content through channel 285 on DStv and channel 94 on GOtv. We ask all content producers in Namibia to embrace this opportunity to share their content with us.”

“Namibia's newest television channel will bring viewers the latest in current affairs, sport and entertainment news from across the country and the region.
