Nasty C's show for the young'ens
You can now relax and buy tickets for your little ones as the Ivyson concert is both for young and old.
Knowledge Ipinge says in the entertainment industry, children are time and again left out when it comes to music shows. South African Nasty C will be changing this as his show can be attended by children from the age of 13. Ipinge, who is the rapper's Namibian spokesperson, says Nasty C's fan base is made up of kids too and they should not be excluded.
“We want to connect with overlooked markets that normally don't get the privilege to attend these types of concerts. The activations last week at Cramer's and the schools were to treat those who normally don't get the platform. You could also see the joy on the faces of the kids at Jan Jonker Afrikaner, it was amazing. They too can buy tickets and come to the show,” he said.
Ipinge says it is important for children to regularly interact with the arts and artists for them to see that they can have a career in it. Ipinge says security will be tight and parents don't have to worry about their children's safety as strict measures will be taken, including Nampol overseeing the venue.
“It's all about inspiration. Nasty C comes from a similar background and these are the exact same people who can relate to his story instantly. To achieve our goal of encouraging responsible drinking during the event, we will implement an alcohol purchase wristband system. These wristbands will be given to any attendee who is confirmed as being over the age of 18,” said Ipinge.
The Ivyson tour concert will take place at the Hage Geingob Stadium on 24 November. Early bird tickets are N$120 for general admission and N$250 for golden circle, available from WebTickets, Pick n Pay or online at www.ivyson.co.za .
