Namibian super featherweight boxer Jeremiah ‘Lowkey’ Nakathila is set to fight American pugilist Shakur Stevenson on 12 June in Las Vegas for the WBO interim world title.

The Namibian jetted out to America last Friday and is getting ready to step into the ring.

Being the underdog, Nakathila said he will whip the American and bring the belt home.

“No one will protect Stevenson when we step into the ring,” the Namibian said.

His opponent - undefeated former featherweight world champion Stevenson - on the other hand told Morning Kombat’s Brian Campbell that he can’t force top fighters in America to face him, that’s why he had to settle for the Namibian.

“I can’t force anyone to fight me. If the fighters don’t want to fight, that’s fine; that’s why I’m fighting Nakathila. He is number two so this fight makes sense,” he said.

“I haven’t been forced to show too much. The world doesn’t know a lot – they don’t know what I have in me. You don’t know what might come out of me on Saturday,” the American boxer added.
