The reigning Namibian Junior Sportsman of the year, Delano Muller, recently donated sports gear to youth at Walvis Bay.
The gesture was part of Muller's initiative to make sports accessible to less privileged youth. He handed over various items he collected from donations, which included 13 soccer balls, a rugby ball, soccer boots, caps, sweatbands, goalkeeper gloves, a watch, medals and a golf cart with a full set of clubs.
Muller said the country is facing a difficult time and the youth have to learn to stand together.
“Support each other so that in unity we can face a lot of obstacles together,” he said. He also encouraged fellow youth to respect each other.
“To see the joy and the thankfulness of the children made such a long-lasting impression in my heart.” Muller further asked the public's support for this project.
If interested in donating, call the Namibian Kickboxing Federation at 081 127 4711.
