As per the new normal, Rundu-based hip-hop group M.I.G will delight their fans with an electrifying online performance tomorrow night.
Scheduled for 19:30, the show will be streamed on Werah Café and M.I.G's Instagram pages.
Situated along the Trans-Caprivi highway at Ndama in Rundu, Werah Café was opened by local businessman Nanyemba Katamba in 2015 with the aim of strengthening arts and creative expression in his community.
In an interview with tjil, M.I.G's manager Prince Muha expressed his excitement for the show.
New music
“We have been working on new music and we will use this platform to share some exclusives, so tune in to find out what the team has been up to.
“We are also grateful to the Home of the Arts (Hota) Centre for availing their facility for this show.
“We urge other Kavango artists to make use of this platform to share their art,” Muha said.
Creativity and talent abound
Creator of urban clothing brand Tamwa, Sin J Tetukeni said creativity and talent are at home right by Rundu's riverside.
“If you tune in, you will realise how we are transforming our art and beginning to tell our stories.
“This platform exposes our homegrown musicians to the lovers of culture on Instagram,” Tetukeni said.
He added that the show will hopefully be the first of many.
“We are engaging other artists to come onboard. Some have expressed interest already so look forward to more Kavango-based artists gracing the Werah Café stage.”
