Metropolitan donates over desk bags
Finalist for the Mrs Africa Foundation, Lizelle Groenewald, together with the Pinnacle Metropolitan Empowerment Trust, sponsored desk bags valued at N$17 500 to the Paraclete Kindergarten in Havana, Katutura. The little ones only have chairs and don’t have desks. The desk bags therefore provide a portable desk and bag solution. It allows a child to carry books and stationery to and from school. The bags are waterproof, reflective and light for pre-primary scholars to use and have a lifespan to last throughout primary school.
The Paraclete Kindergarten was founded by Pastor Ben Niyakuri and his wife. They saw that Havana needed an intervention because most of the children are from disadvantaged backgrounds and they wanted to make a difference in the lives of these children.
