Magical Zambian moments
NDOLA-HECTOR MAWONGA
Castle Lager treated an entourage of about 13 people to a great weekend that culminated with the group attending the final of the Cosafa Cup on Saturday.
Laughter, great sounds and spectacular weather helped make the trip an awesome experience, while the football action did not disappoint at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
While the third and fourth playoff match between South Africa and Lesotho (SA won 2-1) was poorly attended, by the time the final came around the 40 200 capacity venue was nearly packed to capacity - creating a vibrant atmosphere as Zambia beat Zimbabwe 2-0 to lift the Cosafa Cup for the fourth time.
Celebrations went on long into the night with the 'favour' sign (rubbing your hand over your head as a sign of anointment) became a trademark when meeting a Zambian fan.
Namibian Sun was among other media who went on the trip and captured some fantastic moments - starting on July 18.
