Mabuzza drops ‘Push By Spirit’ visuals
Namibian kwaito artist Mabuzza recently complemented his hit single ‘Push By Spirit’ - off from his latest project ‘The Blueprint of Kwaito EP’ – with visuals.
The video premiered on YouTube on Monday, 3 January, and was shot by Sodo, a production house that has worked with many notable acts in the country, including Manxebe, King Elegant, TKB and more. Speaking to tjil, Mabuzza shared that the video was directed by Emily Josef and Shaiya.
“I worked with a trusted team and I am happy with how the video came together and the stories are portrayed,” he said.
Coming soon
The musician, whose real name is Fillemon Stephanus Hafeni, shared that he chose the right song from his latest EP as the single. ‘The Blueprint of Kwaito EP’ was released on physical copies last month.
“Initially, the project was just meant for the streets, hence we did not share it on streaming platforms, but just had a few physical copies.
“But having performed the songs from the project during the festive season, people have started to demand that I share it on streaming platforms, which I am going to do in the coming weeks. I just request for some patience from my fans,” he said.
Mabuzza’s musical journey began in the late 2000s when he was a backup dancer and singer for the Gazza Music Production (GMP) stable, more specifically for Blacksheep. After his stint at GMP, he took a short hiatus and released his debut album, ‘Survival of the Fittest’, in 2019.
