After a two-year hiatus, Sandro Ithana, the founder of Kashipu clothing brand, released a collection and introduced vlogger and fashion enthusiast Justine Kweyo as the brand’s ambassador.
Speaking to tjil, Ithana said the collection includes golf T-shirts, overalls and tracksuits, with accessories like earrings, masks and car stickers.
He added that he is excited about this collection because it portrays his reinvention and demonstrates what he has been working on during the pandemic. “With this collection, I want to show people how I have been innovative during the pandemic,” he said.
Kweyo told tjil that she is grateful to be Kashipu’s brand ambassador and intends to create awareness surrounding the brand and, ultimately, increase sales. “I love Kashipu for the message behind it – that nothing comes easy, but when you’re enthusiastic, determined and focused, you will definitely reach your goals,” she said.
Looking ahead
On the future of the brand, Ithana said he is looking forward to doing brand activations when it is safe to do so. “One of the challenges we experience as a local clothing brand is having retail stores sell our products, hence we do activations to take the brand to the people. “There will be giveaways in future so check us out on our social media pages, @kashipubrandnam on Instagram and @kashipubrand on Twitter,” Ithana shared.
