If you missed it, you missed out… Chillaz was the place to be this past weekend.

This past weekend Chillaz Sports Bar & Carwash, located in Khomasdal's Richardine Kloppers Street, hosted Ixa and his crew.

The show was insane and the carwash delivered an amazing venue and set-up.

Ixa is a well-known Afrikaans rapper, who is currently trending among the youth.

He not only entertains fans, but also lights up Facebook with inspirational quotes.

Ixa welcomed his fans with a warm “salute”.

Cole Ali, Die Chief and Xander also showed they can spit bars and are up-and-coming stars.

They made the crowd go wild.

Dj Nacio was in fine form, keeping the vibe going.

Mr Magix, who has been Ixa's manager for the past three years, said they are planning bigger shows.

“The crew is set-up on the terms of Magix Entertainment, running with the thought of knowing your worth,” he said

“Everything starts with yourself; you are worthy of your own worth that others place in you. I deal with a lot of artists in this industry and not all of them catch the punchline.”

Mr Magix's goal is to change the Afrikaans hip-hop game.

Ixa said he and his crew enjoy a special bond. “They do very much for me, and the bond I have built with them is deeper than the fans,” he said. “I really appreciate the welcome I got from the Khomasdal fans. The show went well, the DJs were 'on a plus'. Chillaz Sports Bar served us well.”

Speaking about his mentor, Hemelbesem, Ixa said he has huge respect for him.

“As for my manager, Mr Magix, he is one of the people that has my back in this industry, blessings for him. These two people guided me through this journey.”

Ixa said he also owes God a lot.

“I thank him for his safety, guidance and blessings. I want to thank the 'wettige masakinnez' - my crew, my wife, my three-year-old daughter and the Chillaz management.”

Chillaz manager Gaylo Kavari said they had been planning the show since July.

“The experience was a learning curve,” said Gaylo.

“Everything went smoothly and our next function is still on the books. We want to thank Ixa and his team, who were our first guests. We also want to thank the people who came from far, the Chillaz team and our supporters.”

Ixa will be performing at the Rehoboth Summer Bash on 27 October, alongside Lamore and Silvercriket Production.
