Travelling to a foreign country in pursuit of achieving your dream sounds like a crazy idea, but it is exactly the route Sakaria ‘Desert Storm’ Lukas chose to take, hoping that it would pay off.
The Namibian, who is promoted by Global Boxing Stars owned by Patrick Scott, who is in partnership with Immanuel Moses, the owner of AC Boxing Academy, joined a second training camp in Tuscaloosa for two months and said he was ready to take on his Mexican opponent.
I was born ready
“Just a shout-out to my fans around the globe. I passed the medical examination and we are Covid-19 free. Thanks very much to Roofmaif Group, Global Boxing Star, Knuckleheads, Ready Bite and AC Boxing Academy.
“Like I always say, I was born ready and never shy of stepping up to the competition. Saturday night I will be victorious,” he said on his social media page.
The Namibian professional boxer has never won any of the four major world titles: WBC, WBO, IBF and WBA. But he sure is cable of it, looking at his level of determination and hard work. If he wins the fight, it will put him second in the IBF as well as WBO rankings.
The soft-spoken Lukas has a record of 23 undefeated fights, whereas his opponent has 18 fights, 16 wins and two losses.
