After the European successes in the Blancpain GT Series Sprint and Endurance Cup, in the British GT Championship and in the German ADAC GT Masters, the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 conquers its first victory also in Italy, in the Italian GT Championship.

And it is a double win scored first by the team Antonelli Motorsport in Race 1 on Saturday, then by the team Ombra Racing on the following day in Race 2.

At the Misano World Circuit, which hosted the second round of the championship, the Lamborghini of the team Antonelli Motorsport won Race 1 on Saturday, thanks to an excellent performance of Riccardo Agostini and Daniel Zampieri. After starting from the fourth position on grid, the two young Italians, members of the GT3 Junior Program of Lamborghini Squadra Corse, secured a well-deserved victory thanks to a perfect race conduct and a fast pace, which allowed them to prevail over the BMW M6 GT3 driven by Comandini and Cerqui and the second Huracán GT3 fielded by the team Antonelli Motorsport, with the Lamborghini Young Drivers Alain Valente and Lorenzo Veglia behind the wheel.

Race 2, which took place on Sunday 4 June, saw the domination of the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 of the team Ombra Racing. The GT3 Junior Driver Alex Frassineti, after getting the pole position in Saturday morning's qualifying session, maintained his leading position from the start till the opening of the pit window for the driver change. His teammate Michele Beretta, who is also a member of the Lamborghini GT3 Junior Program, did the rest by skillfully administering his advantage until the checkered flag and thus preceding the Ferrari 488 GT3 of Scuderia Baldini and the Huracán GT3 of the team Antonelli Motorsport, driven by Agostini and Zampieri. The latter two drivers concluded the Misano weekend with a double podium.

Alex Frassineti and Michele Beretta of Ombra Racing now lead the driver standing in Super GT3 class with 54 points, followed by Riccardo Agostini and Daniel Zampieri of Antonelli Motorsport seconds with 47 points.

The next round of the Italian GT Championship is scheduled on the weekend of 16 to 18 June at the Monza Circuit.
