Head-on collision claims four lives
Four people died and six others, including two children, were seriously injured in a crash near Koës on Wednesday.

A car accident 15 km from Koës killed four people at around noon on Wednesday.
It is alleged that two vehicles, one belonging to NamPower and the other a privately owned Toyota Hilux bakkie, collided head-on when the latter allegedly tried to overtake another vehicle, a Landcruiser, and drove into the oncoming vehicle's lane.
The driver of the bakkie, Barend Anthony Kennedy (54), and two passengers, Nicole Goliath (21) and Emmanuel Swartbooi (30), died instantly. It was later confirmed that a fourth person, Floriana Rukamba (42), succumbed to her injuries in hospital.
According to the police report, the driver of NamPower vehicle, a 44-year-old man, escaped uninjured. Six other people, including a two-year-old and a six-year-old, were seriously injured.
The injured passengers were admitted to the Keetmanshoop State Hospital.
