Fresh and popping – music videos edition

Last year had so much music accompanied with visuals that there was no way we could’ve reviewed all of them. But in this new year, we’ll start off highlighting some recent music videos.
Koko – TopCheri
This was probably the most anticipated video of the past week. Koko was actually worth the wait, as this is another TopCheri music video that highlights her distinctive visual storytelling approach. Released just a week ago, the music video has garnered close to 70 000 views on YouTube. Mepani M and Katti Kotton Eater are credited as director and stylist.
Dat is Good – Kurza featuring Nadia Nakai
On this club banger, Kurza and Nadia Nakai flipped Thati Sgubhu by Bongo Maffin. I don’t know how to feel about the execution, though. Men will appreciate the visuals for obvious reasons. This is another video that is raking in the views on YouTube.
Kumbie – M-Gee
Sonically, the effortless delivery on Kumbie could get any head bumping. M-Gee remains committed to his signature sound on this one, with little tweaks here and there. The music video was shot by Sodo and has accumulated over 12 000 views on YouTube in two weeks.
Oshambuletu – Manxebe featuring Tate Buti
Last year was an amazing one for Manxebe, with all the music videos he released doing huge numbers online. The buzz around his brand coupled with Tate Buti’s following already made this collaboration a success. The oldest video on this countdown dropped three weeks ago, these visuals deserve a special mention, having surpassed the 100 000-view mark on YouTube yesterday.
