For a good cause
De Duine Secondary School in Walvis Bay recently joined the annual Spray-A-Thon hosted by the Cancer Association of Namibia (CAN). Learners got their hair sprayed in different colours for N$20 each, with the proceeds going for a good cause. Donations have been earmarked for the CHICA (Children Fighting Cancer in Namibia) programme that supports the CHICA Interim Home for childhood cancer patients, and also aids the paediatric ward of the Windhoek Central Hospital. Seen here is the register class of Yolanda Koning getting their funky colours. The learners also wore yellow T-shirts with the slogan ‘bee different’. With them is CAN Walvis Bay volunteer Petro Jones-Meyer.
