Fitness Model
Meke Namindo
A fitness model is a professional person who is qualified to guide physical workouts.
“It’s almost like a physical exercise teacher but much cooler,” says Meke Namindo, a fitness model.
Duties and responsibilities as a fitness model are to make sure that people receive the correct type of workouts for their fitness levels and body types and physical capabilities.
“You need to study it. You need to understand the anatomy of a human body in relations to physical activities. You must have a people’s personality, because you will be working with all sorts of people. You must love people and you do not need to be fit as a fiddle but it helps to be an example to people you motivate,’ she says.
Her current job is still from 8:00am to 5:00pm, which limits her time to give as many classes as she could. “I give classes after hours either group workouts at my studio or to private clients in their space or they come to our studio. We have trainers so this puts less pressure on me,” she says.
She further says a weekend would sometimes mean, she either gives classes from 9:00am to the afternoon.
