Speaking to tjil in an exclusive interview this week, Dubz, who grew up at the coast, said she is honoured to be among the nominees for the favourite female presenter award.
“It came as a bit of a surprise, but I’m honoured nonetheless,” she said.

“I got a tag and a mention and checked it out,” she said.
For the fans
The bubbly and talkative radio personality said if she wins the award, she will dedicate the victory to everyone who voted for her and believed in her.
Having grown up in both Swakopmund and Walvis Bay, she attributed her artistic qualities to the two towns.
“The coast was always home. It has allowed me to express myself in a way that Swakopmund and Walvis Bay people will get, you know?
“This includes mannerisms, sayings and other things. The coast is known to produce super talented people,” she said.
Don’t dim your shine
Tha Big Homie and Dubz’ show, which used to be aired from 09:00 to 12:00, has gained such a following that it was moved to the breakfast slot, from 06:00 to 09:00, in 2018.
She encouraged aspiring radio presenters to never limit themselves or allow anyone to dim their shine as they enjoy every moment of their radio journeys.
“Radio is not a job. It is a lifestyle,” Dubz, who also presents the Dubz Local Hit List every Saturday, said.
Delila Katanga, Tanyaradzwa Daringo and Ndapewa Ambambi are the other presenters who have been nominated for the award.
The winner will be decided by a public vote.
