Award-winning artist Dixon (real name Daniel Nasau) released his latest track, Tshororo, earlier this year, and it has been picking up steam ever since.
Tshororo, a Khoekhoegowab word for ‘pour out your dancing moves’, is currently enjoying a lot of attention on social media.
The song was produced by renowned music producer Elvo.
“It is basically a fun song about showing off your dance moves. It says: ‘Stand aside, so I can show you my dance moves’.”
#DezaVibe challenge
“My manager, African Dream, came up with the concept and it was meant to be a December song,” said Dixon.
The track went viral as fans took up the #DezaVibe challenge, showcasing their dancing skills.
According to Dixon, who is managed by Ultimate Rhythm Entertainment, the challenge ends on 30 May, after which the winners will be announced.
“We will have four winners because of the overwhelming response to the challenge. The two main winners will each win a collection of five albums, as well as a cash prize.
“The two runners-up will each win a cash prize,” he said.
New album soon
Released three months ago, Tshororo has garnered over 100 000 views on YouTube.
The single is off Dixon’s forthcoming album, with a release date yet to be announced.
“I am currently putting together my next album of which Tshororo is the first single. My fans can also keep a good eye on my YouTube channel, DIXON NA, because I might be dropping something within a month or two,” he revealed.
