Democratic Media Holdings renamed to NMH

Democratic Media Holdings (DMH), which was established in 1977, has been renamed and will in future be known as Namibia Media Holdings (NMH). NMH owns the newspaper brands Republikein, Namibian Sun and Allgemeine Zeitung as well as the newspaper printing operations of Newsprint. NMH CEO Albe Botha said for over 36 years, DMH has contributed to establishing democracy and freedom of speech in Namibia. “The renaming strengthens the media group's commitment to Namibia in sharing information to empower communities with knowledge to help build a better Namibia for all,” he said. The new branding of Namibia Media Holdings will be launched at the Namibian Tourism Expo to be held from June 4 to 7 at the Windhoek showgrounds.
