Boulter back in hospital – again

After spending some time at Safari Court Hotel under Covid-19 quarantine, influential British billionaire and owner of Farm Kaross in the Kamanjab district, Harvey Eric Boulter, is back in hospital again.
Boulter is on trial for the murder of farm manager Gerhard van Wyk and has yet to spend a single night behind bars since the incident happened in February.
Police commander of the Khomas Region, Commissioner Ismael Basson, confirmed that Boulter was taken directly from Safari to the Paramount Healthcare Centre in Eros after being cleared of Covid-19.
For most adults with the virus, isolation and precautions can be discontinued 10 days after the onset of symptoms.
Boulter’s formal bail application was rejected on 11 May by Magistrate Immanuel Udjombala in the Outjo Magistrate's Court.
Udjombala ordered that he be detained at the Kamanjab police station until his next court appearance on 30 June.
However, Boulter was transferred from the hospital in Outjo to Windhoek on 12 May and tested positive for Covid-19.
“The coronavirus is over now and he is in hospital again,” Basson said.
‘Complications’
He previously told Namibian Sun that when Boulter was transferred for his bail application from Windhoek to Outjo, he was released from hospital in the capital.
However, during his bail application, he apparently developed “complications” and received a doctor’s letter to be transferred back to hospital in Windhoek.
Boulter is facing a charge of murder after he allegedly shot and killed the 54-year-old Van Wyk at Kaross on 27 February. Boulter was also injured during the incident.
He is also facing additional charges – defeating/obstructing the course of justice, illegal possession of a firearm and illegal possession of ammunition.
Boulter is the chairman and CEO of the Porton Group in the Cayman Islands, which specialises in the commercialisation of military technology.
