Biggest crowd-pullers
Out of so many festivals and concerts this year, these ones stood out for tjil.
Festivals, expos and concerts have increasingly become platforms enabling people to celebrate in style. Below are some events that stood out this year - from their turnout, stage designs and overall buzz the spectacles created.
#GazzaMilliConcert
This was definitely one of the biggest music concerts hosted in the country, and thousands of music fans flocked to Katutura to celebrate Gazza along with a superb line-up of other Namibian musicians, as well as artists from other African countries. Gazza pulled out all stops to thank his fans with this concert.
Heal Our Land Concert
The Heal Our Land Concert took place on 3 August and featured the best Namibian gospel artists - Manda Gabriel, Abner Mumbala, Sovita Joshua, Pride, Vuuyo Johnson, Jux Adolf, D-Naff, Esmee and Dee A & Franklin. The event was hosted at Zoo Park and attracted thousands of concert-goers and was one of most well-attended events of the year. It had a great turnout and we cannot wait for next year's event. The Christian music community really knows how to support their own.
Ngandu Festival
There is no turn-up like a Rundu turn-up, especially during good weather.
As if the mighty Kavango River isn't a beautiful oasis on its own already, the Ngandu Festival organisers turned Rundu into any music fan's seventh heaven on 20 April. This is how winter should be welcomed every year.
