Baby stolen from Oshakati hospital found

A three-week-old baby stolen from the Oshakati Intermediate Hospital this morning has been found at Okaku. Sergeant Frieda Shikole of the Oshakati police confirmed that the baby was found alive and was taken back at the hospital for further check-ups. According to sources, a relative of the suspect returned the baby to the hospital. The whereabouts of the suspect is unknown at this stage. Earlier in the day a kidnapping case was opened at the Oshakati police station. The baby was snatched from one the maternity wards while her mother was taking a shower.
