The education ministry says it is making good progress with the marking and processing of examination data and will be able to officially release the provisional Grade 12 Namibia Senior Secondary Certificate (NSSC) higher-level full-time and part-time, as well as the Grade 10 part-time candidate results on Friday.

This year 20 605 candidates, compromising of 18 649 full-time and 1 956 part-time learners, were registered for NSSC higher-level subjects - an increase of 2 637 when compared to 2018.

A further 9 566 part-time candidates were registered for the Grade 10 Junior Secondary Certificate (JSC) exams, which will be phased out after this year. This is a decrease of 1 656 candidates from last year.

The results will be available in Namibian Sun, Republikein and Allgemeine Zeitung on Friday, as well as on the education ministry's website www.moe.gov.na or via SMS.

Send an SMS containing the name of the examination (JSC part-time, NSSCH full-time or NSSCH part-time) along with your surname, first name or candidate number to 2929, 99099 or 55755. For example: JSC part-time Kaperu Ben or 192A120012.

Both the SMS service and website will become active on Friday at 00:15.

All those who were registered for the national examinations are reminded to have their candidate numbers nearby, in order to be able to access their results. Regional offices will be able to provide results from broadsheets during office hours to candidates and relatives who visit their premises. The regional offices can also be called to obtain the results.
