A fairytale kinda love

A rumour has been going around that our former Miss Namibia is in a relationship with hot South African actor and musician Clint Brink. Clint, who many will know from his acting in series from ‘Generations’ to ‘Egoli’ and now ‘Scandal’, has been spotted on various occasions in social media tags and pictures with our beautiful sports fanatic Steffi van Wyk saying sweet nothings and it has been confirmed!
“Yes, I am dating Clint Brink. We met a month or two after Miss World. We met through social media when he inboxed me and we started chatting. I then met him in person after the Miss Africa event in Johannesburg and we fell in love. The rest, as they say, is history,” said Steffi.
Steffi recalls the first day they met like it was yesterday. “Everything was just great, he picked me up and everything was all tranquillity. When we would walk into a building everything would just go quiet and it was peaceful,” she said. Steffi said she knew from the word go that they would end up in a relationship as she liked his personality and the fact that he has a good heart and an open mind.
Asked whether his being on TV would affect their relationship, Steffi confidently declined the thought and said that his work has nothing to do with their relationship.
“Being an actor requires one to be professional as you need to make the audience believe the role you are playing. I know that he is very talented so what he does there and what he does in his personal time are two different things and we don’t bring our work home,” she said.
Steffi also said the fact that girls throw themselves at him doesn’t get to her as she knows what they have is very special and cannot be compared with anyone else.
“Clint has been in the industry much longer and he has the experience of girls throwing themselves at him. He said he even receives naked pictures on his Instagram and he said back to the girl never to do that again and that she must respect herself. There will be people that will try to destroy our relationship from both sides but as long as I know he is a decent person I don’t have to worry about other girls,” said Steffi.
Regarding the distance between Namibia and South Africa, Steffi said it won’t be a problem as she will move to Johannesburg to be closer to her special person. “I will move there for the time being because long-distance relationships don’t work out. Yes it doesn’t matter where we are in the world as long as we have each other but there are days when you just need a hug from your person to feel better,” said Steffi.
On relationship advice, Steffi says one should never lose oneself and should walk away if one’s partner tries to undermine one’s personal growth. People should stay true to who they are and shouldn’t change to please their partner. One should also guard one’s heart by doing some research if the relationship is mutual.
