A computer but no power at Hedimbi PS
A disadvantaged primary school in the Eengodi Constituency of the Oshikoto Region has received a donation from the Windhoek-based Maruka Investments.
The donation to the Hedimbi Primary School consisted of a computer and a printer with a total value of N$10 000.
“We are overjoyed. This is the right donation at the right time,†said Simaneka Kagola, the principal of the school.
He said the school has no electrical power, but solar power is available at a nearby clinic. “The nurses have agreed to assist us whenever there is a need to use our newly acquired computer,†he said.
The school was established in 1992 and it had 154 pupils this year.
