Vaino Kameya's career with the Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Fund began in 2009. Over the years, he has played a key role in overseeing stakeholder relations, marketing and corporate events.

He currently serves as the head of stakeholder relations.

He holds a master of business administration from the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) under the Harold Pupkewitz Graduate School of Business, along with a bachelor's degree in marketing.

His responsibilities at the MVA Fund include leading efforts to enhance the fund’s image, implementing stakeholder engagement strategies, coordinating impactful brand campaigns and analysing performance data to ensure alignment with organisational goals.

He reviews each plan in order to match them to the organisation's goals but added that it is a collective effort.

“I lead a team to ensure that our strategies are effectively implemented and that our brand image is consistently maintained,” he explained.

His competitive edge is derived from the exceptional skill he possesses in conducting research and strategic planning.

He has seamlessly fused data interpretation with creative thinking to build customer engagement strategies and campaigns that appeal to the target audience.

Hard at work

Among the highlights of his achievements, he said: “One of my proudest achievements is the successful implementation of a comprehensive stakeholder engagement strategy that significantly improved stakeholder satisfaction and trust."

Additionally, he led a successful rebranding campaign that significantly enhanced the MVA Fund's visibility and public image.

The seasoned professional considers strategic planning, attention to detail and team leadership to be his core strengths.

However, he admits he is still working on improving task delegation so that he can focus on high-level strategic priorities.

Embrace learning

Kameya has valuable advice for young professionals: "Remain dedicated, embrace continuous learning, and face challenges with determination."

He added: "Develop strong relationships while remaining professional at all times. Perseverance and adaptability are key to success.”

With more than a decade of experience, Kameya is confident in his ability to continue contributing to the organisation’s growth.
