Titus Manuel is a full-time entrepreneur, author and consultant for start-up and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). He is also the CEO of Nandose Business Consultants.
He professes to have extensive knowledge and expertise in an abundance of fields, including administration, marketing, social media, digital media, sales, financial management, accounting and finance, business management, and customer service, to name a few.
Manuel said he acquired these skills during his time studying at the University of Namibia (Unam) and during professional training, workshops and seminars, while reading books helped him gain experience and practice as a consultant.
“I believes in self-studies based on my circumstances to empower myself with the required and essential skills that I need to keep up with the latest information in the global business world."
Experience
Manuel has provided consulting services for a number of businesses. He worked as the business development consultant at Top Notch Media (2020-2021), the sales and marketing consultant at Uukumwe Quick Services (2019-2020), the strategic marketing consultant at Generational Focus Leadership and Consultancy (2021-2022), the strategic business consultant at Sky Light Film (2018-2023), the strategic business consultant at Anu Cleaning Services (2022) and the events coordinator at Arts Tourism and Creative Economy Northern Namibia (December 2023 to date). He has further provided consulting services to many other MSMEs and start-ups from 2020 to date.
Background
Manuel is an administrator by profession, with 13 years of experience in the field.
He earned his qualification at Unam and has seven years of business consultancy expertise, as well as four years of entrepreneurial experience.
He completed business administration honours at Unam up until the fourth year, which is still pending completion.
“At Unam, I served in several managerial positions at both community and national level," he said.
In addition, he acted as a technical advisor for the Student Career Fair Association in 2010 and as an advisor to the Kavango Students Cultural Group.
He founded the Environmental Awareness Club at Unam Oshakati Campus, was the chief conductor of Unam Choir Northern Campuses, chairperson of the Cultural Clash of Choirs Unam Northern Campuses, and coordinator of the Unam HIV/AIDS Awareness Club.
He was also appointed as an executive member of Namibia Environmental Education Network, where he served as the representative for the Oshana Region under environment ministry.
In the same vein, he attended the Olafika entrepreneurship mentorship programme in 2021.
Stepping stones
Now the founder of Nandose Business Consultants, he narrated that his first business venture was Inch-Multi Media Production, which he co-founded with Ditu Michael and served as executive director from 2011 to 2018.
On top of everything else, he recently introduced the Nandose Entrepreneurs Mentorship Club, which presently has two new mentees. He and aims to grow the club this year to recruit more start-up entrepreneurs based on human resource availability.
It focuses on supporting entrepreneurs through the process of starting a formal business (compliance), business modelling, raising start-up financing and corporate governance.
The mentorship is based on his book, 'Entrepreneurship Revolution: A Guide to Applied Entrepreneurship and Strategies for Success' as a resource.
The book is filled with hands-on practical experience guides to help SMEs and start-up business owners navigate through the process.
“My motivation comes from the people I interact with and clients I have helped, especially those one who understand and appreciate my efforts."
If we can focus on starting scalable start-ups, we will add value to the economic growth of the country and, at the same time, be able to curb the current high rate of unemployment."
'Entrepreneurship Revolution'
He said his book is a result-based product of consulting services through the MSME business owners who had sessions with him, and consulted on the process of how to start and develop their business into a successful entity. This book is a medium used to inform, educate and inspire start-up business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs on how to start, build and grow a formal business.
The book explains how start-up entrepreneurs can prepare for the business journey, how to plan to secure their business and is focused on business compliance, growth, development, as well as personal awareness and career growth as an entrepreneur. The book also expounds on how to grow the business from a start-up to a successful business.
Furthermore, 'Entrepreneurship Revolution' educates readers about business corporate governance, which is broken down into stages to provide clarity based on the stage at which each organisation finds itself, Manuel said.
