Bobby Kaanjosa, a beauty pageant coach from Walvis Bay, has always harbored a deep passion for fashion and beauty.

He describes himself as a a confident go-getter and people’s person who strongly believes in helping others chase their dreams.

Born 30 years ago in Tutaleni, Walvis Bay, Kaanjosa is the youngest of four children. He earned a diploma in performance arts from the College of the Arts and completed a short course in fashion and styling for TV at AFDA in Johannesburg in 2017.

“My passion for pageants began early, starting with my own competition experiences. In 2014, I earned second runner-up at Mister Red Cross Namibia, followed by first runner-up at the Mister College of the Arts competition in 2015.”

He said his love for pageantry allowed him to visit Bali, Indonesia, "where I had the honour of representing Namibia on an international stage.”

Kaanjosa later shifted his focus to training aspiring contestants.

While studying in Johannesburg, he attended a modelling school, where he gained expertise in model management, scouting and training.

In 2018, he founded Pageant Girls by Bobby K, an agency dedicated to representing Namibian models on the international stage.

Through this platform, he helped send models like Christiana Gure to Miss Intercontinental and Tracy Kayofa to Miss Heritage International, among others. Kaanjosa’s hard work paid off when Kennedy Amadhila won the Fashion of the World award at the Man of the World competition in 2019.

“In 2021, I revamped my agency to become the ‘WALK by Bobby Kaanjosa Institute,” focusing on both training and mentorship.”

This expansion allowed him to collaborate with prestigious organisations such as Miss Petite Global, Miss Charm and Miss Tourism Africa International, among many others, he explained.
