The My Zone team asked learners from Okahandja's JG van der Wath Secondary School how they are preparing for the upcoming exams.
Joshua Johannes
I am really working hard and studying, going out and getting tutors and preparing for my final examinations. My final exams will determine who I am now. How I’m going to perform as a business official, as a lawyer, who I want to become. You never know who you will become and who you will be in life. How I’m going to prepare for the exam has to be top-notch.

To prepare for the exams, I am using old question papers because that is the most effective way.
Sechzel Job
To prepare for my exams, I study. I mostly do night-time studies, because I’m a night-time student. I don’t usually study during the day. I also write notes. I’m making sure my assessments are up to date. In addition, I try to remain focused and motivated.

Currently, I go through old question papers which helps me understand how the question paper will be structured. I also prepare notes, which I go through during the evening. I sometimes stay up really late and prefer using that time with my books and, lastly, I watch a few videos on YouTube as different information gives you different perspectives.

Firstly, I study for approximately one hour and 30 minutes every day for each subject. I make time to go through old question papers, and I watch some YouTube videos. Sometimes when I feel lazy, I read through my textbooks that I downloaded on my phone. I also try to remain focused and not procrastinate too much. Self-discipline is one thing that keeps me going.
