Head girl
I really learned a lot from the role as head girl. It taught me the necessary skills to be a leader, which come with patience, empathy and commitment, among others. My role was to ensure that the students' voices were heard and required me to tend to their wants and needs before mine or that of the LRC committee.
At first I did not think I was capable of taking up such a role, but I grew into it and at a later stage my confidence went through the roof as well. I encourage people to take on whatever life throws at them with confidence and bravery.
