Acknowledging and celebrating achievements

Kopei Katjatenja
The prize-giving ceremony is an annual event during which the school rewards the most meritorious learners. Our prize-giving ceremony was held on 8 March to celebrate and congratulate the learners who worked exceptionally well to achieve the required marks to receive an award.

The event went smoothly. We were entertained with a beautiful performance by our Tswana cultural group and it cheered up the crowd. There was a top 10 in each grade from grade 8 to 10, and then there was 'the cream of the crop' of our school - the overall top 10 best performers. They also got badges to wear for the rest of the school year.

Prize-giving ceremonies are very memorable and unique occasions in a learner's life: They inspire each learner to study hard and perform well in examinations. If you did not receive an award this year, you still have a chance to improve your academic performance.
