Best public enterprises honoured in Oranjemund

The awards are aimed at improving public enterprises' (PE) performance, as catalysts for national economic development.
The Public Enterprises CEOs’ Forum conferred Annual Public Enterprises Awards for 2021 at a glamorous ceremony, held in Oranjemund, at the end of its 7th Annual General Meeting (AGM).

The awards are aimed at improving public enterprises’ (PE) performance, as catalysts for national economic development.

Nampower, Road Fund Administration as well as Namport were the big winners on the day as they were the only entrants to walk away with two awards each.

Namport scooped the corporate governance and compliance as well as the best public image categories.

In addition, the categories of corporate social responsibility and most improved public enterprise for non-commercial walked away with the Road Fund Administration. Nampower scooped the best performing public enterprise category, while their chief executive officer (CEO) Simpson Haulofu won the best CEO of the year award.Lastly, Namcor won the commercial most improved public enterprise award.
