Youth trained on Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) Systems

STAFF REPORTER
The Namibia Youth Energy Forum (NYEF), in partnership with SBM Offshore and TotalEnergies EP Namibia, is proud to announce the successful completion of our exclusive workshop on Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) Systems.

This marks a significant milestone in ongoing efforts to educate and empower young Namibians in the energy sector.

The workshop, held at the SBM Offices in Windhoek, brought together industry leaders, experts, and enthusiastic participants to explore the technical aspects of FPSOs.

As Namibia races towards its first Final Investment Decision (FID), understanding the intricacies of FPSO systems is crucial for the country's offshore field development.

Workshop highlights included FPSO Fundamentals, where participants were introduced to offshore field development, industry history, and an overview of FPSO systems, Key Components, where detailed sessions covered the hull, topsides, mooring, and offloading systems, Project Phases, where insights into the execution phases and the evolution of FPSOs were shared, and Hull Design Training, where attendees delved into hull construction, marine systems, and mooring systems.
