The journey of Charlotte’s Bistro began in 2020 during the global COVID-19 pandemic. Amidst lockdowns and uncertainty, Naris found solace in her passion for cooking, creating a platform she dubbed “Sundays with Glow.” The platform gained significant traction as she shared her culinary creations from her home kitchen, eventually welcoming clients into her home for meals. As demand grew, Naris realised the need for a more formal setup, and thus, Charlotte’s Bistro was born. “It started in my kitchen, and now we’re here,” she said. The road to success was not without its hurdles. “As a female entrepreneur, one of the biggest challenges was securing finances,” Naris explains. “It took years of hard work and consistency to gather the resources needed to bring this vision to life.” Her dedication to her dream has turned Charlotte’s Bistro into a thriving business, serving as an inspiration to aspiring entrepreneurs, particularly women.

Beyond its culinary offerings, Charlotte’s Bistro doubles as an event venue, accommodating up to 50 guests. “This space is an extension of Shekinah Events, our events management company,” Naris shares. The bistro has hosted various celebrations, from birthdays and bridal showers to Valentine’s Day gatherings. “Merging my event planning expertise with this business has been a rewarding journey,” she adds. Planning and running the establishment have been seamless for Naris, thanks to her background in the events industry and her dedicated team. “Our staff is phenomenal, and our mixologists add an extra flair to the experience,” she notes. Guests often leave with glowing reviews of the warm and welcoming atmosphere, a testament to the team’s hard work and dedication.
