Shot in the arm for Schachter & Namdar employees
Diamond polishing firm Schachter & Namdar this week paid N$150 000 into its shareholder participation trust as a token of appreciation to its employees, saying they had demonstrated unwavering support to the company.
Schachter & Namdar director Marc Friedman said the company's employees had weathered the storm of a difficult year in the global diamond industry.
"This year has been one of the most testing periods in our industry's history. Diamond market volatility and global economic uncertainties have tested our mettle. Yet, Schachter & Namdar, together with our partner Andre Messika, have decided to make a distribution to our local shareholders, the staff of our company, despite the challenges we are facing," Friedman said.
The payment of the money into the trust was a further indication of Schacter & Namdar's recognition of its employees, Friedman said.
"This is not just a financial reward, it is a symbol of our deep gratitude for your tireless efforts and your unwavering loyalty. It reflects the high regard we hold for each of you and our recognition of the vital role you play in our success. As we move forward, let us continue to draw strength from this unity, knowing that together, there is no challenge too great for us to overcome," he said.
Schachter & Namdar would continue to seek innovative means to make a positive contribution to the lives of its employees, Friedman said.
"Looking ahead, we are filled with optimism and determination. We will continue to innovate, to adapt, and lead with integrity. We remain committed to delivering long-term value for you, our shareholders, and to making a positive impact on the communities we serve," Friedman said.
