Namibia celebrates World Music Day
Namibia celebrated World Music Day for the 26th time this year. For the past 26 years, the Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre (FNCC) has arranged a free day of music concerts in Windhoek, always on or around 21 June, which is internationally recognised as World Music Day.
This year, on 17 June, Katima Mulilo, Otjiwarongo, and Rundu all had the opportunity to participate in World Music Day, with a variety of musicians showcasing their talents.
Overall, Music Day celebrates the power of music to transcend boundaries, unite people, and bring joy and inspiration to individuals of all ages and backgrounds. It is a global celebration of music's universal language and its ability to create positive change in society.
