Hoevember delight: A rainy day of joy and solidarity

The fourth edition of Hoevember took place at Palm Tree Park in the capital on Saturday, 25 November.

Celebrated under a carnival theme, this year marked significant growth for the event as corporate sponsors adorned the outdoor venue, ushering in a new chapter for Hoevember.

Testament to solidarity and the empowerment of women and the LGBTQI community in Namibia, the day unfolded into a fun showcase - despite the rainy weather.

Despite technical hiccups caused by the rain, the resilient crowd refused to let it dampen their spirits.

Hosted by vibrant journalist and social media sensation Huncho Kapofi, one of the highlights of the day was a surprise performance by TopCheri.

The annual day event is meticulously curated by rapper Lioness, with her saying on X: “Hoevember was special. Thank you to TopCheri for coming out as a surprise performer. It was so heartwarming". This sentiment echoed the collective feelings of everyone present.

Other performers included Four, Khadijah Herunga, Nicko Zamaleck, DJ Kiki and DJ Alba.

Namibian Sun was in attendance to capture these moments.
