German performers delight at 'Stars Under African Skies'

STAFF REPORTER
As has been the case for many years, over the last weekend in January, a number of singers from Germany performed at Midgard to raise funds for Reiner Meutsch’s Fly & Help Foundation through the 'Stars Under African Skies' event.

This year, the line-up featured Anna-Maria Zimmermann, Mickie Krause and Markus & Yvonne, who entertained guests - both youth and old - from early to late in a bid to raise money for the foundation.

Guests were not only treated to top German 'Schlager' - Midgard also ensured that they were spoiled for choice in terms of food and beverages, while an electrifying atmosphere filled with dance and laughter helped them create unforgettable memories.

Besides the beautiful tunes, a highlight of the event was when Zimmerman announced that this year she would be constructing a school on her own in Namibia.

Fly & Help’s primary goal is to establish schools in developing countries, funded through donations, with the foundation and sponsors covering all administrative costs.
