Bridal competition: Natalie and Fiki take top honours
Natalie and Fiki Shaetonhodi were on Saturday announced as the winners of the Checkers Bridal Couple of the Year competition, with Chester and Clare Likando as their runners-up, and Kylé and Damian Esau in third place.
They were chosen by a panel of judges consisting of Republikein's senior reporter Tanja Bause, Poiyah Media founder Ilke Platt, Dr Esperance Luvindao and 2018 winners, Roland and Mariaan van Greunen.
Other winners included Fransina and Linekela Jason for the cutest introductory video, and Genieva and Berauldt Resandt for their fun shopping expedition to Checkers. The event included giveaways to the audience, as well as entertainment provided by the Phoenix Dance Studio.
The final comes after many months of preparation and two rounds of judging.
The competition was sponsored by Checkers, Maerua Mall, Namdia and Republikein.
