Donated equipment to aid forest management

The environment, forestry and tourism ministry has received field equipment valued at over N$477 000. Donated by the Bush Control and Biomass Utilisation Project, the equipment comprises tents, pots, water bottles, tables, mattresses, chairs, computers, measuring tapes and GPS devices.
All items will be handed over to the forest directorate to assist the officials in managing the country’s forests. The objective of the project is to ensure the economic utilisation of biomass from controlled bush thinning.
